Reimagining Human Flourishing through the Lens of Planetary Self

At the Island of Knowledge Institute in Italy, Everard Findlay was invited to contribute to a global inquiry on the future of civilization and the urgent need to redefine human flourishing. The gathering posed essential questions: How do we inspire transformative action? What narratives empower agency rather than fear? And how do stories — both personal and collective — shape our shared evolution?

In his talk, Everard introduced the Planetary Self model as both a philosophical and practical tool for connecting inner awareness with global systems change. He emphasized that every individual is a node in a living network — capable of accessing information, translating it into action, and shaping futures that honor life.

By invoking ancestral storytelling, indigenous wisdom, and contemporary design thinking, Everard invited participants to see narrative not as history, but as strategy. A regenerative narrative is one that fosters belonging, dissolves silos, and anchors innovation in care. The Planetary Self is both an individual and collective process — a call to live as stewards of possibility.
